Gathering my thoughts

Some days you just need to sit down and gather your thoughts, don't you.

I think, Christmas is pretty much on my mind most of the year really. I love it. No getting away from it, I'm obsessed. So today, you'll find me making some notes on things like, colour schemes, crafting projects, new recipes to try and cookies to bake.

You'll also find me thinking of new and unusual passwords, as sadly my PayPal account was hacked.

So all in all, its defiantly a sit down with a cup of tea, and make some plans and well, pretty planners, make it all that much more fun.

I do of course have more than one Christmas board over on Pinterest, but here's the main one, if you're interested.  I share some of the others with you another time.

Do please let me know, if you have a Christmas board, as I'd love to pop over and have a look.

This Year I will .....

I've set myself some goals .... If I don't, I tend to faff and time just runs away from me. Now I'm not saying this is going to stop me faffing and personally, I think that if Faffing were a sport, I'd have won the gold medal for it.

Its a work in progress plan, and I'm also hoping that I'll be adding to it; but I thought if I at least share my goals with you, it may somehow keep me on track.

So right ... here we go, oh and I apologize now, its a wordy post;

Empty Pages

Something so inviting about a new start. I love a fresh calendar, and the first page of a diary or notebook. They give us so much to think about.

So here we go .... I'm jumping into 2014 with new vigour.  I'm making plans and writing new year resolutions. Oh its an exciting time.

This morning I've been catching up with my blog reading and seeing all your resolutions, so I thought I'd share my goals for 2014 too.

Create .... create and then create some more.

Ok, that was short and simple

Yes, I could say, eat healthy, lose weight, blog more, but hey, you know that I'm always saying that. So for now, I'll settle with create lovely things this year.

For the love of Organisation

I love organisation ... my label maker and I are the best of friends.

At the beginning of the year, like most of us, I sat down and wrote out my goals for the future.  One of the main ones was to get my act together with the de-clutter that seems to be growing by the minute.

We have a shed full, and trust me I mean full, of boxes of things from Mum & Dads.  Most things I gave to the scouts and to charity shops – but some things, I thought might come in useful.  And … yup I was right.  Mum & Dad had hundreds of cd’s; records & cassette tapes – music was always on when I was little.  Anyway, I thought that these boxes would be good for holding inks in my craft room – and they’re perfect.

I also have one with all my Promarkers in – I just coloured little dots in with the colours and put them at the end, and now I can see what I have at a glance.

I’m also a huge Filofax fan – yes I know I can keep my diary on my phone, but I think it’s just a stationery thing, but I love my Filofax.  So with that thought in mind, and the fact that if I ever see a craft shop while I’m out and about, my bag would be with me. I decided to make a not of the colours of inks I have, so as not to buy duplicates.
I know I’m late to the party and I don’t have many mists, but I thought I could start keeping a record of these too.

So, it looks like I’m doing well with my goals; decluttering and getting organised .... fingers crossed it continues.
