Re-Boot 2023!

Oh goodness me, I really hope I don't do these re-boot sort of posts each year.  Can you believe the last one was in 2021, where does time go

I'm not going to give you any excuses, just start afresh and try my hand at blogging again. 

So I'm starting with my favourite season yup, Christmas!  I hear you, Christmas in August, well yes, but this stamp set and punch can be used at other times through the year, and I do plan on using it for a coffee and card class that I've started again, but maybe using it for an autumn card. 

Still, here is the one I first created. 

I've always been a fan of Hallmark movies, and Christmas movies are what Hallmark do so so well.  They often include a Red Truck in those films, and whenever I see one it always makes me feel happy.  The set comes with different stamps to fill the back of the track with, and I coloured the parcels in Pool Party, which always makes me think of Tiffany Blue. 

The stamp set is available on its own, or as a bundle with the punch. I've yet to play with all added extras on the punch, but watch this space. 

A Re-Boot

Its time to get back on track with crafting and blogging. This poor little space has been sadly neglected, but no more. 

Firstly, I always choose a word to take me through the year, and this year I've chosen the word FOCUS, and with that word, I've also decided to break it down. F - Friends and Family; O - Organise; C - Crafting; U - Us and S - Shop.

So lets get back to the C part. 

Its an exciting time at Stampin up, as its the mini January to June catalogue and also Sale a-bration. 

I'm sharing today, the valentines card I made for Simon using a stamp set out of the new mini catalogue called Always in my heart. Its not just a valentines one, but has beautiful images and words for all sorts of occasions.

I can't wait to play with this a little more. I feel a scrapbook page coming on.

After much over thinking on my part, I've finally done a YouTube video. Please be kind, it took a lot double takes (dog barking and even phone dropping), but its uploaded! Even that took me a while, as only I would film it upside down. Still, I'm happy with it, and now thinking about my next video.

Its that time of the year, when Stampin' Up put out a mini catalogue. Oh my ... its gorgeous. So many beautiful stamps and coordinating papers, and full of inspiration.

World Card Making Day

World Card Making day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in October. It was initially started by Paper Craft magazine as way to help those get interested in card making, and those that already are hooked, to start on maybe their Christmas cards. 

So, this year, I'm holding an event at Castle Connections Community Centre, in Queenborough, on Saturday 5th October.

My Stampin' Up journey is certainly a big learning curve, and today, I've been trying to add my "shop" to my blog; I'm hoping its worked and will make ordering for you all a little easier.

Stampin Up Trimmer

The excitement of the new catalogue due soon, always means certain products are retiring.  This has its plus points, as lovely new products will be here soon, but also sadly, some of the much loved ones are finishing.  Now one of those much loved ones will be the Stampin' Up Trimmer.  I know, big shock!!

Stampin' Up have recently had some quality and supplier issues so, are taking this opportunity to explore alternative products. Whatever this is, it will not be the same as the current trimmer.  There will also be a gap before a new product does become available. 

At present replacement blades are out of stock, but I'm keeping a look out for that to change.  Sadly, these too will be unavailable when the new catalogue comes out.

Castle Craft Club

Yup, that's the name I've given our new craft group being held at our local Community Centre.

I have a friend who comes along, and in her own words "Doesn't have a creative bone in her body".Well I can tell you know, that's just not true.  She's been to both classes, and her cards have been fabulous.  She gets craft!, and by that I mean, she experiments and plays with some ideas, and I do think she's been shocked at how well they've all turned out.

Let me share with you the cards we made from our first class.  We used the "Time for Tea" bundle, which is just perfect for most occasions

Our second meeting we used "Hello Cupcake" stamps, as lets face it, who wouldn't want a card with a cupcake on it.

I'm so enjoying my time with these crafting ladies, that I'm thinking of making it a weekly event.
