What have I been doing?

Well, I know I've been busy, but busy doing what? That's the question.  I have been to a couple of crops and even more surprisingly, I've actually achieved something at them.

I've also been keeping up with my photo a day.  Although I've not followed any prompts, the photos do show a snapshot of our lives - which was the plan :)  I'm still not 100% sure how to showcase them, and as much as I adore seeing others who are doing Project Life, I'm not quite sure I want to take on that level of commitment - also, I'm not really wanting to buy another album for that.  So I may well do it, but with a slight twist to it ... uuummm, I think that still needs some thought.

Anyhow, a blog I do follow is the lovely and talented Alana, and her blog The Little Blue Shed.  Well each week, missy clever clogs, puts up a mosaic of her week.  Well, I've just loved seeing that, so I asked her how she did it, and to my glee, it's an app.  Well, I love my apps, so yes I downloaded it and if anyone is interested it's called My week in pictures.  Now, getting it on to here was a different story, and again, Alana came to my rescue .... only, she managed to confuse me! LOL ... so instead, I took the easy way out and emailed them to myself.  And here they are; my past few weeks, not the most exciting in the world ... but hey, so far, so good!:)

Week I

It shows; we took down the decorations at the little house, a thursday night crop, a shopping trip to Kingston & we had a skip delivered to start clearing Mum & Dads.

Week 2
It was the lovely Jo's, big birthday at the crop, so of course, she had to be my photo of the day; I got to meet up with my friend Michelanne and her gorgeous little man Jimmy; also, here is a picture of my new iphone case from Cath Kidston (oohh its so pretty)  and oh and we tried to do boiled eggs like Heston makes LOL.

Week 3
The main one is of my friend Emma, who invited myself and a couple of friends for lunch to her place; I also met up with another friend for coffee this week & we spent a lovely weekend at the little house - I had to capture, this photo of the boy who is looking for boats going past the back garden! ... he's such a nosey so and so, I'm sure one day, I'll hear a splash and have to send Simon in to fish him out. LOL.

Something I have noticed ... I do tend to go out for coffee rather a lot LOL.

I have been creating, so I'll take some photos and show you next.  Please don't think I've fallen off the end of the earth ... I am still here, and yes, still feeling positive about this year.

2012 .... Here we come!

To say I'm happy to say goodbye to 2011, is an understatement. It's been a sad sad year for me, and I can't really believe I'm entering a new year without Mum & Dad, but I am, and I have to make the best of it. What it has shown me, is that we have to grab hold of life and enjoy it the best we can. So I'll be starting the new year with hope & a positive attitude. My Moto this year is .... Never save anything for best :)

I would like to say a big thank you to you all, for the kindness and support you've all shown me. My blogging friends rock!

Happy New Year to you all .... And cheers, here's to 2012 being amazing.

Advent Time

I'm gently putting my foot back in the door and blogging again.  Firstly, I can't thank you all enough for the lovely kind comments and emails that you've all sent to me regarding the loss of my parents.  I still have very bad days - of which yesterday was one.  But on the whole, days are better and I'm starting to look forward to Christmas. So that's a good sign.

A few things I'd love to share with you - firsty, is the new addition to our family.  Yup, Eddie is now living with us - he was Mum & Dad's dog, although I did walk him and he knew our house fairly well, but he's really settled in well and he's just the best thing to happen to Simon and I this past few months.  Everyone that meets him, falls in love with him, he's just adorable and so loving.  So lying on his new bed, with his new red collar on, he kindly posed for photos for me.

The only downside of him is .... he follows me EVERYWHERE! he's always two steps behind me - and if I come down from upstairs (where he's not allowed) ... honestly, you'd think he hadn't seen me in ages, he jumps around just like a puppy!  We laugh and say he's a bit like the film "50 first dates" ... he forgets he's just seen you.  I feel so bad for him, he won't settle down and just sleep - no he wanders around with me all the time.  Still, I can't complain, hes far too gorgeous for that, and we love him to bits :)

Also, I am such an amazing Christmas fan, so first thing this morning, I opened our Advent Calendar, and of course - Eddie had to have his as well. Which was followed very quickly with me opening my day one of the crop Advent swap.  So HUGE thank you to my Santa for the most gorgeous Websters Papers .... yes, I did squeel when I saw them.

I've not been crafting at all but I'm sure once I get back into my blog reading and seeing all the amazing creative ideas my blogging friends have come up with, I'll be using those papers very soon. Also, I hope you all don't mind too - but I opened my google reader to find more than 1000 posts, so please don't think me rude, but I've decided to start afresh from today.

A little break

I would just like to give you an update as to why I haven't visited any blogs these past few days.  Sadly, I lost my wonderful father on Wednesday.  It was sudden and unexpected, and also not even 4 months after losing my mother.

So I'm having a bit of time away from the computer to come to terms with it - I do truly understand he's happy now and with mum - he really couldn't live without her.  His heart was just broken with her loss.

Next week is the funeral, and then I'll be back.  Take care all xx
