Ok, so what happened this week.
I know its not everyones idea of happiness, but it is mine .... snow arrived. Not for long sadly, but it bought big smiles to our faces. We also had lots of texts and calls from the flood alerts about the little house. Luckily it was safe and they shut the flood gates.
The fire has been burning here a lot this week, which the bears and I love. We also had a new delivery of logs, so I see more fires in our future.
I managed to get hold of a magazine I've been after for a while now. My cousin got me the planner for Christmas and I love it, so I thought the magazine would be wonderful, and I wasn't wrong ... its a great one.
Ive also started sorting my craft room in order for me to start being able to get to things easier. My sewing bits were in the corner and difficult to get to, so I shifted everything around and it feels good.
I'm also still on my quest to be better organised and that means having less clutter, so another visit to the charity shop happened this week, and I've a bag full already to drop off this week, from my craft room sort out.
Thank you for stopping by, and enjoy your week friends xx
Ooh you are good on your organisation!! I keep thinking right todays the day... and then the kettle goes on and motivation goes out of the window lol xx Have a lovely week xx
ReplyDeleteThe front cover of that magazine is beautiful. I've been trying to get stuff together for the charity shop too but I need J to carry it for me cos I have to park so far away from the shop. So it could be a while before my pile of bags moves!
ReplyDeleteI love the effect snow creates but I was glad that it didn't hang around.
ReplyDeleteI do not have a working chimney so I treated myself to an electric 'log stove' so that I can have the effect.
I can't believe that we have already passed the halfway point of January - where does the time go to?

Ah the quest for better organized at home. Breathe, now I have to go online for a peek. Happy week ahead.
ReplyDeleteWe had a little snow about 10 days ago now, not much, just covered the ground a little . . . hopefully that will be it for the year. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've had the fireplace on here, too, but just in spurts as the temperatures have been all over the place. One day it will be 70 degrees, the next it will be freezing!
It's so quiet when it all goes back to normal. We missed the snow we only got a few flakes so Tilda didn't get to see it ☺️☺️. I will be keeping an eye out for that magazine and those gorgeous bears look so comfy and warm beside your fire. Oh and glad your little house was ok xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment over on my blog. I would just love it if you joined in on 17 loves! It would be great if I had a companion during the year :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cosy set of photos. Makes me realise I need more cosy in our home. I don't drop by here often enough but it always inspires me when I do.
Hi Sandra, thank you for your lovely comment.
ReplyDeleteI take it you have the round knitting loom. There are a lot of videos available on YouTube - some are helpful some can be a little confusing because the folk make things seem more complicated than they need to be. The basic use of the loom is very easy and hopefully some instructions came with the item. One tip I will give you is don't worry about whether you should be going 'clockwise' or 'anticlockwise' - it doesn't matter and I would advise that you go with whatever you feel most comfortable with. I'm best going 'anti' but one of my friends just can't get her head around it unless she works in a 'clockwise' direction. Have fun.

Thankfully we didnt get any snow in London. It looks very pretty but it makes life so hard as everything seems to come to a halt! Lovely pics as usual xx
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame it was only a dusting of snow :( What's in your craft room charity bag? xx
