WOYWW ... a bit of a mess, I think

I know, normally I don't play along ... but just love to see what others are up too - to be fair, I think I also use that nosey time to see how others store they yummy craft stuff. But I thought this week, why not play along for a change - I was also wondering why I have a lovely big craft desk but surround myself with so much, that I only have a small place to work LOL.

Anyway, here are a couple of images;

I'm at present working on a baby card for a neighbour who I found out yesterday had a little boy.  I'm also trying to catch up with the 52 cards and 52q's over on UKS - as well as catch up on my scrapping.  I have so many ideas rattling around in my head - I'm sure it will explode one day!

While working on the 52 cards - I've set myself a challenge to use up all my old stash and the left over bits - so I found a shoe box, and I've filled it, plus if I keep it close to hand, fingers crossed I'll see just the paper's I'm looking for.

Anyway - do head over to Julia's and check out the other WOYWW ... some great things to see :)

  10. We always surround ourselves with the things we love Sandra, which explains why you have so little space left on your desk!! Nice to see you back again.

  14. I have a theory that we cannot craft happily unless we are nice and cosy, and that means filling spaces around us - sort of nesting. I too have a huge work surface, but the usable space is getting smaller day by day.

    By the way, you do realise that as you use your old stash, you will be cutting and using bits of other stuff too and that will, in its turn, fill another box of stash. I have a large really Useful Box that I am supposed to be using up - we'll see how I have done by the end of the year. Good luck with yours.

    Good luck using up your old stash! Your desk is not that messy...mine would look worse than that most days if I didn't pile everything on the floor! Hey there's a tip for you! Thanks for visiting.

  28. Hi Sandra, that's a lovely creative crafty space you have there. To be sure your head would have exploded at CHA... it was an adventure of a lifetime and as a retailer you should try to make it one day.
    Yes! you are welcome to rummage through my stash ( and tidy it all up for me if you will too!) the customs did a full job rummaging through my friend Carol's stash at LA!! Left mine alone!

  37. Oh, Sandra this does make me chuckle. My hubby is always shocked at how I work on projects and can't beleive the tiny space that is left that I work in. I keep telling him that it is how a creative person works.....and I don't like putting things back.

  41. Eh, lass... I'm glad its not just me that has a big desk & works in a small place! xxx

  42. It's the law Sandra, you fill as much space as you can to be surrounded by what you want to work with or be inspired by, and then you work in a teeny space at the front of your desk. To be honest, you have way more space than is usual!! You have a pretty surrounding.

  43. Thanks for the snoop in your craft room Sandra. It's so nice to see how others layout their craft stash. I know what you mean about ideas filling your head! *Ü* I seem to be getting less sleep every night! Love the birds and spring feel to your blog. TFS. ~Glen~

  45. Pleased to see that your work area is just as messy as mine LOL!! And a shoebox???? I would need a huge huge box to keep all my must use up stuff in but maybe I should start small and just have a few bits and pieces always close to hand to use up. I do have a folder with all my patterned paper sorted by colour that I always go to first for cardmaking and the same with my scraps of Bazill - I always try to use a scrap first before cutting into a new sheet!!
