World Card Making Day

World Card Making day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in October. It was initially started by Paper Craft magazine as way to help those get interested in card making, and those that already are hooked, to start on maybe their Christmas cards.

So, this year, I'm holding an event at Castle Connections Community Centre, in Queenborough, on Saturday 5th October.

Paper Pumpkin

Stampin Up is bringing us once again, something new and exciting. We can now in the UK, get our hands on a Paper Pumpkin kit. What you ask is Paper Pumpkin? I'll admit, I thought the same thing.  Well its a monthly paper kit, which currently is only available in the United States and some parts of Canada.
So what's included in the kit?

  • An exclusive stamp set that is not available anywhere else
  • One Classic Stampin' Spot® from our Classic ink collection
  • 12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes
  • Adhesives and embellishments for all 12 cards
Everything in this gorgeous box is pre-cut and ready to go.

This beautiful kit is described as "A touch of earthy and elegant spring with lots of layers and texture"

I can't wait to get my hands on it, but be aware this kit is only available while stocks last.

I've lots of exciting things planned on this journey; coffee and card events, craft clubs and hopefully a scrapbooking crop. It is after all, it was my first love.

Stampin Up Trimmer

The excitement of the new catalogue due soon, always means certain products are retiring.  This has its plus points, as lovely new products will be here soon, but also sadly, some of the much loved ones are finishing.  Now one of those much loved ones will be the Stampin' Up Trimmer.  I know, big shock!!

Stampin' Up have recently had some quality and supplier issues so, are taking this opportunity to explore alternative products. Whatever this is, it will not be the same as the current trimmer.  There will also be a gap before a new product does become available.

At present replacement blades are out of stock, but I'm keeping a look out for that to change.  Sadly, these too will be unavailable when the new catalogue comes out.

Please let me know if you would like to place an order for some.

I'll be sharing with you the retired products list next.

Castle Craft Club

Yup, that's the name I've given our new craft group being held at our local Community Centre.

I have a friend who comes along, and in her own words "Doesn't have a creative bone in her body".Well I can tell you know, that's just not true.  She's been to both classes, and her cards have been fabulous.  She gets craft!, and by that I mean, she experiments and plays with some ideas, and I do think she's been shocked at how well they've all turned out.

Let me share with you the cards we made from our first class.  We used the "Time for Tea" bundle, which is just perfect for most occasions
Our second meeting we used "Hello Cupcake" stamps, as lets face it, who wouldn't want a card with a cupcake on it.
I'm so enjoying my time with these crafting ladies, that I'm thinking of making it a weekly event.

Moving Direction

I apologise once again friends, for being missing in action (so to speak), but life has taken a big change for me recently, what with a house move and Simon taking early retirement.

The past few years, I've felt a little lost and disconnected with blogging, but enough is enough! I've given myself a stern talking too and feel its time to find my feet again.  Sadly this little blog lost its way a bit, and all I was showing was my weekly photos; where did all my creative passion go?

So, I'm starting afresh with this and a new blog. My new one, will be mainly interior based as this has been my focus recently, but you'll also find styling, cookery, gardening and all things home life.

You'll find me hanging out on my new blog, called Little House Happiness.  Its actually a hashtag I use over on Instagram and it really sums up how I feel about our new home and the new adventure that awaits.

So what about here, I hear you say! Well All Things Pretty, is going to have a little makeover, and recently (last month, to be exact) I took the plunge and became a Stampin Up demonstrator.  I know, I just can't leave craft alone, can I.  So here, I'll be sharing all my love of all things creative, including Stampin Up, but also, and yes, I know you've heard this before too, but I will catch up with Project Life.  I also want to reconnect with scrapbooking again, after all it was my first love.

So wish me luck, and watch this space.
