Well, did you do it? We did. We turned off all our lights for Earth Hour
It really shows you the power that bloggers have .... as I only remembered this, after reading it on UKS, and Winnie's blog.

I love Today!
As with everything, I'm always playing catch up - and Shimelle's blogging for scrapbookers, is no different. Well today's prompt was about listing out your favourite things ... and well, as I'm a true list girly I was more than happy. I will admit to making lists for everything ... from shopping lists, to menu plans, and to do lists .. I even have a list on the go, for our Royal Wedding party that we're having ... more on that another day!
But I thought for my quick little post, I'd give a list of things I've been happy for today ... so here you are;
I've decided to scrap more of my everyday life too .... and yes that even includes my love of coffee ... so look out for this picture appearing on a layout soon.
But I thought for my quick little post, I'd give a list of things I've been happy for today ... so here you are;
- I'm truly happy that it's been a beautiful sunny and warm day here today
- I was happy that I had my washing and ironing all done by midday
- I was happy to have had a little visit from a stray kitten ... we had a little play, and he even ventured into the house
- I was happy that a friend popped around today to buy some stock, but stayed and had a cold drink with me ... and
- I'm happy that I didn't give up coffee for Lent as well as chocolate :)

Another Birthday Card
Why is it some months you just seem to have lots of birthdays in ... which means making lots of cards! Saying that, I'm glad to say that the monthly plan I put in place in Janaury is still working out well - and so far, (touch wood) I've had cards ready to post out and not the last minute panic that normally happens.
This card was made for a friend who's birthday is this weekend.
I signed up sometime ago, was it last year or the year before! For Shimelle's blogging for Scrapbookers, but at the time - life got in the way, and I couldn't follow it, so I'm hoping to play catch up again and join in.
Enjoy your weekend xx

Crop Day
I had just the most fabulous time at the crop yesterday - I know, I'm very very lucky to be able to count the amazing women at the crop as friends. It's always very noisy, with us all trying to talk at once ... there is so much laughter, that yes on occasion we have been asked to keep it down, but of course - how is that possible!
It's truly an amazing group, we all get on so well - and that's part of the reason I never really get anything done at crops ... I'm far too busy chatting, and well, starbucks is only a 2 minute walk away, so really I can't be blamed!. Saying all that, I did manage a layout - ok, yes I did open up for 10 and close at 5 ... so maybe just one layout isn't enough, but hey, it's a start. The flowers were received from my lovely hubby, this Valentines day.
A thank you goes to Jo, for letting me use her bunting punch ... ok, in everyone elses world it would be a triangle - but in a scrappers world, we call it a bunting punch!
I also made a card for my sister-in-law's birthday which is tomorrow, it's ok, I can share it with you - she doesn't read my blog.

Cupcake Heaven
Yesterday afternoon, I had to take a little trip into London, to attend a Livery dinner with Simon. Which, although was lovely in itself, certainly wasn't my highlight of the day ...oohhh no, these were!
Simon took me first to this amazing little tea & cake shop, Bea's of Bloomsbury ... and it was all so lovely, I asked if I could take photos, I'm sure they must have thought I was a little mad, as I oohhh'ed and aahhhh'd over all the lovely little details; but it was all so wonderful, from the gorgeous chairs, to the sweet little vintage cook books behind glass cases.

And of course, it's not rocket science to know what I picked ... well, in my defence, Lent does start next week .... and it was covered with glitter!
After that we walked past St. Pauls, and no matter how many times I visit London, I'm always blown away by its beauty.
and lastly ... not a great shot, but I managed to sneak a photo of the hall where we had dinner, just before everyone trundled in
I'm looking forward to next week, as Simon is off on holiday, and although we're not going anywhere exotic, and yes he'll still have his mobile clamped to his ear ... we'll be out and about, so I can practice a little bit more photography and really learn how to take my camera of automatic.

What happened to Feb?
Where did February go then?? I've done my best to keep up with my blog reading, and it's not like I haven't been crafting ... I think I just forgot to blog! ... bad me. Well, I'll make sure that, that doesn't happen in March (fingers crossed)
To prove I don't spend ALL my time chatting, and going to Starbucks at crops, here are a couple of layouts I did last week.
The first is of hubby, in his favourite place ... yup, his workshop at the little house - actually, as someone pointed out at the crop, you can just see the reflection in the window of the boats :)
The second layout, still has me a bit in shock, no not that I managed another layout at a crop, but the fact that I can have a niece, older enough to drive!! Where did that little girl go that used to love crafting with her Aunty Sandra??
I have lots of catching up to do with my 52q's and 52 cards ... so hopefully, I'll get to show you them soon. I also, did manage though to do a christmas card on the 25th, so I'm not doing to badly keeping my crafting goals going.
